Our little baby just turned 1!!!! I still can't believe it! She is walking everywhere like a pro, learning to dance, making noise like crazy (though no specific, consistant words yet), loves to dress up with necklaces, hats, bracelets, and anything that looks like the above, loves to give hugs and snuggles, and of course, being Anna, smiles and giggles all the time!
The two girls started off the Birthday frenzy with a wooden cake I found at a garage sale that they could decorate and cut and blow the candles out over and over again! Definately a hit! I've never heard so many renditions of the happy birthday song with all of us (indluding dolls, frodo, etc) getting a turn being the birthday person.
In anticipation of the main event, Anna's favorite part of the cake was taking it apart...
We did the traditional special cake for the 1-year-old and Anna loved it! She was a little shocked at this giant thing set in front of her, but after finally getting her initial taste-she dug in!

She declared "MMMMMMMM!" the entire time she was eating! Must have been good!
Kaitlyn helped to open all of Anna's presents (she kept trying to convince us it was her birthday). Anna was very stoic about it all but enjoyed playing with the gifts afterwards.
Especially reading her new book with Grandma and Kaitlyn.

Happy Birthay again, Anna! It was a fun non-party -- just like every other Suesday is!
