Anna's 5th Birthday

Anna is 5!  My sweet Anna-girl.  She is still our little cheerleader- so excited for everything and always complimenting everyone on whatever they are doing.  She loves school and can't wait to be reading like Kaitlyn, and she will be there soon at the rate she is going! She loves to dress up, dance, sing, and play parts. For such a little girl, she is definitely the loudest in the house. She is always sure to claim a buddy for whatever activity or even day it happens to be, and though a little shy, she is very loving and attached to those people and things she loves. 

 

Birthdays are such special days, and she had hers all planned out.  For her party she chose to have a Teddy Bear Party where all her friends could come and bring along a special stuffed animal. Anna is very attached to her collection of bears that she sleeps with each night.  It was hard for her to decide whether to bring Cinderella Bear or Cheerleader Bear and finally decided on Cheery, her new little BYU Cheerleader bear :)

Each kid got a bag that they could carry their friend in, along with all the snacks we were collecting along the way.  Our first bear snack was fruit (fruit snacks) that they earned by throwing a "berry" through the holes in the "berry bush" (bean bag toss)

 The also got drinks by climbing through a water tunnel, fished for goldfish and Swedish fish, and worked together to toss their friends up high in the air using a sheet to get Honeycomb (this was their favorite).  And no pics of any of these because we were busy!  We must hire a photographer for these events....

 Finally they got a prize by popping a beehive balloon that was filled with some little craft bears and candy. (much better than a piñata!!)

 Anna loved this part and got to pop a couple of extra for her friends who were shy :)

 We then gathered everyone together in the "bear cave," passed out party hats, and had a picnic...

 And of course sang and had cupcakes!

After opening presents we had a dance party until everyone's parents arrived.  It was a success and Anna was thrilled with everything, declaring it the bestest, bestest, birthday party ever!  Love this girl.
