Anna's 1st day of Kindergarten

Can you tell that this girl is excited?  Anna loves school.  And whoever thought that Kindergarten kids should start later than the older classes should have their heads examined- they obviously have no idea of the trauma caused when an older sibling gets to start school before these ultra excited little ones!  Anna was so ready for school to begin!
Grandma Lamb sent money for her to pick out an outfit for the first day of school and as soon as Anna saw this dress, she fell in love and had to have it.  When we found the red shoes it was just icing on the cake. Look at that smile! And those ringlets in her pigtails? Priceless.
Anna is attending Center Stage School again this year, which means that she also gets to do Dance, Karate, and Singing lessons at school.  Two of her teachers are still the same, and Anna loves her new teacher, Miss Cynthie.  On the first day Anna had no trouble walking right up to her to say Hi and tell her that she had made it to school! She was set.  David however was very upset that we left her behind ;)
Anna walked out of her class just beaming.  Did I mention that it was also her birthday?  The joy.  She took treats and got this special glittery birthday crown to wear.  She told me she learned about Respect and gave me the whole list of things you show respect to. One of her best friends from last year, Lilly, is in her class this year. She also learned all about baby a and it's sounds, which she said were very easy for her because she has two A's in her name.  It is going to be a good year all around for my sweet Anna-girl.
