Kaitlyn's first day of kindergarten was today and she was so excited! She has been looking forward to going back to school all summer and has been counting down the days for the last week. She had the outfit she wanted to wear all picked out, knew exactly how she wanted her hair, and was so ready to leave the house!
She had a great first day. She already knows five kids in her class from church and preschool, was thrilled to get to do recess again, was dying to do the homework she was given,and told me all about the jokes she told. It's like school is already old-hat for her. That's my girl. I also love that she has the morning schedule this year-which means she is home at 11 and we have the whole day ahead of us to enjoy with her! This should be a great year and I can't wait to see her learn, make friends, and have new experiences.
