Suesday at Springlake

On Monday we got together for an unofficial Suesday outting to Savers and DI. We didn't find much but it was fun anyway! We stopped off at Sonic on the way home for happy hour drinks and enjoyed five happy kids out on our shady back porch. So nice. For Suesday we decided to head down to Springlake where the kids had a blast running around. Anna is finally getting old enough to attempt to play with the older kids and she had so much fun crawling all over. Charlotte of course slept lots, and also loved to watch all the action. It started off with flashlights and running (and crawling) in circles in the front room...
Progressed to some serious play time in the toy room...

And then of course outside to go check out the frog pond!

Anna loved playing with (and chewing on) her little frog with all the big kids!

The frogs spent equal time in the water and in their little rock cave homes eating acorns.

Anna caught on quick to this game and found a nice little home for her frog.

Don't you love this pile of kids in the frog pond; happily splashing, putting frogs on the waterfall, and giggling! Even baby Charlotte joined in and dipped her toes in for a minute (though she was not impressed).

Anna is part amphibious (she obviously has something in common with these frogs). She loves the water and would have stayed out there all day! She happily splashed her feet in and out and dipped her frogs in the water time and time again (they taste better that way). What a funny, happy girl!
We are so blessed to have this wonderful place to go visit. We really don't use it enough-I think I shall start inviting friends down for playdates at Springlake. It is the best getaway and I've never met a kid who isn't happy spending time there. (It is absolutely refreshing for their parents as well!) Consider yourselves invited!

We found about 15 frogs in Mark's backpack recently. We'll send them back up where they belong.

Hooray for Springlake! I'm definitely going to take you up on that invitation sometime!
