To Grandmothers House we Go!

We decided at the last minute to go on a trip to Reno and California to visit my grandparents the week before school started.  It had been 3 years since we had last been out- Grandma Ruth hadn't even met David yet!  Obviously we were due for a visit and I were so excited to go.  The kids were really good in the car- we once again had special prizes for them along the way (books, craft supplies, etc) and Tyler was an angel and just slept and chilled out in his car seat.  So good! 

 

We arrived in Reno and Grandma and Grandpa Stewart got to meet Tyler.

 

 Their back porch and yard are so pleasant.  The kids loved playing hide and seek.

 They also played lots of card games- including our new game "Spot It" which they all loved, even Grandpa :)

 We had such a nice visit, ate good food, and laughed a lot.  We are so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents.  I'm glad my kids get to meet them and that they got to know them better on this trip. 

We stayed at the Sparks Nugget where the kids loved, loved, loved the pool!!

 
 

 Then off to California!  We stopped at the Jelly Belly Factory which was even more fun then we remembered :)  The kids loved seeing Jelly Belly's everywhere, trying free samples, wearing the hats (even cutie Tyler!) and especially buying lots of bags of Belly Flops (David was a little confused about these.  "Belly Flops are owie! Hurt Tummy. Crash!")

 We went to a little park full of fun kids rides, including a train, near Grandma Ruth's house where we had a blast!  The kids didn't want to leave!

And somehow we didn't get any pics at Grandma Ruth's house!  But it was so good to spend time with her and talk and talk.  The kids loved their special room and quickly got their beds all set up- loving the fact that Grandpa Dave slept there when he was little.  The spent lots of time playing with the little people and hours and hours with the track and hot wheel cars.  They set it up to slide down the stairs into the den and David ran car after car after car down the track :)  So fun! 

 

I'm so grateful to my wonderful husband for taking us on this trip and am so grateful for my little family and our grandparents!  Thanks for letting us come visit! Love you!
