Birthday Boy

My little David is official 2 now.  He is the sweetest little man.
David has begun to speak nonstop- he repeats everything with the sweetest voice and loves to state his opinions and wants. Though he can say it, he prefers to ask for a drink by staring you in the eye and making huge gulping noises. He overuses the word Mommy but is so cute wandering around the house when the girls are at school calling for "Bug, Anna!"  and he always makes me laugh when he uses his deep grumpy voice to say "Anna!" when he is upset with her.
He and Kaitlyn are still best buddies and he loves to imitate everything she asks him to and is always game to play along.  He is all boy and loves trains (choo-choos), cars (mostly Mator and vroom-vroom), Timmy Time (Baa!), the Iphones and Ipad (phone?), Balls, Books (pete the cat-shoe, pigeon, elephant & piggy), BYU (y.u.) and Angry Birds (hoots for a long time and now birds).
He is so affectionate and loves to be held, cuddled, hugged, give kisses and say "love you."  He is also super ticklish and when he is giggling and can't take any more he will cry out, "hug!" and get a break with a nice hug instead.  He is stubborn and not easily distracted from his goals.  He makes a great grumpy face with his eyebrows pulled down low, and has his Daddy's grin. He is trouble :)

The week before his Birthday he got his first haircut.  And of course we had technical difficulties and lost all the pictures of it.  So you get a before and after shot.

It was a lot of hair and he grew up before our eyes. Giggly boy!

We a birthday party for him with the family and all his grandparents invited. He and his Grandpa Hal are best buds.

Yup,  the pictures say it all.  He loved the attention, once he figured out what was going on, and enjoyed his cupcake and his waffle, apples, and cheetos dinner (we let him choose the menu).

He was thrilled opening up each of his presents and we had a hard time getting him to stop showing off each thing so that he could open the next gift.

He brings us all so much joy.

Love you David!
