Finishing 2012

Merry Christmas from the Jaussi's!

 

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season.  I know we did.  We kept busy with family, events, another craft show for me, performances at the kids schools, shopping, sewing/creating, sickness, Zoo Lights, and of course Christmas presents and family get-togethers.  But this is the only picture you get because it is the best. The happiest and sweetest kids in the world in their new Christmas Jammies on Christmas Eve. Love these three.

 

 

2012 was busy year full of new adventures and new challenges for us, yet we found joy throughout. I didn't get a letter done in time to send with our card-so though I would share a few things about each of us from the year. 

 

David is growing like crazy and is all boy.  He loves cars, trains, books, balls, and is ridiculously good at navigating our iphones and ipad.  His favorite thing to do is imitate his sisters, especially his best bud Kaitlyn. He has a super stubborn streak but is still his good natured, very loving self.

 

Anna began preschool this year, which she loves whole-heartedly. At school she also has Dance, Karate, and singing classes which keep her busy! She loves to talk, and now has all sorts of new things and people to tell us about.  She is our cheerleader who will compliment and cheer us on in all our endeavors-from sewing to cooking to new haircuts to choosing movies. She also loves to put on her BYU cheerleader dress and go to the BYU games with her daddy.  She is our sweet, surprising, spirited girl.

 

Kaitlyn started Kindergarten this year and loves everything about it.  She loves learning how to read and amazing her mom with her abilities. She is our little socialite and a great friend. She loves planning things with her friends and confidently sets up playdates with their parents.  She loves to write letters and draw pictures for people. We go through lots of paper.  Her siblings know her to be the best big sister ever and she watches out for and plays with each of them. 

 

I spent much of the year dealing with multiple digestive infections that gave me the opportunity to receive so much love and service from my family and friends.  I also received a new calling in our ward Young Women presidency and have loved spending time the youth in our ward and having so many opportunities for adventures with them!  I also happily sewed piles of puppets to sell in three big craft shows I got to do with my sister.  For me this year was a strange mix of being able to do absolutely nothing to being super busy.

 

Richard is still working at the University of Phoenix and especially enjoys teaching.  In addition to that he remains very politically active and was the campaign manager for multiple people in the area.  It is what he loves and he is good at it.  He also faithfully attended BYU basketball and football games with our season tickets, often taking one of the kids as his buddy.  In June he took his wife on the most amazing trip to Washington DC where they got to tour around for a week without any children.  He continues to provide for and support our family in every way.

 

 

We are grateful for all we learned this year and especially for the love we have felt from our friends, family, and especially from our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.  We are so blessed and look forward to the great things this new year will bring to us!
