Bryce Canyon

We had a wonderful time in Bryce Canyon last week! Yes, this is our 3rd year in a row. After our last trip there, we discovered that neither Richards parents or grandparents had ever seen it. This year we decided to take them along to share the place with them. Our kids were literally counting down the days as we got close to leaving. Though Anna declaring she wanted to go to "B'y Canny" was a little confusing. Bug kept agreeing that we should certainly buy candy for the trip. Hmm...

It turned out perfectly and we all had a wonderful time playing at the hotel, in the pool, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful scenery at this wonderful national park!

The evening we got there it was freezing cold and the wind about blew us off the cliffs. We only braved one overlook that night, but luckily it warmed up for the next two days.
Everyone went on our first hike on the Bristlecone loop. We loved the views, the rock collecting little girls, the sleeping baby, and being able to do it all together!

Gotta love these cute faces.

I have to report that these two were caught having too much fun.

Richard, his dad, sister and I, took the chance to go on a little longer hike while the rest of the clan went back to the hotel. It was well worth it, especially this area in a narrow canyon they call Wall Street where these enormous trees grow. Amazing.

Richard (and the rest of us) even successfully made it out of the canyon on this crazy switchback trail-hoorah! Such amazing country.

A happy family. We had a wonderful time and were so glad to get a chance to share it with some of the extended family. Anyone up for a trip somewhere next year? We are game!

Your kids are SO adorable! What a fun family trip. Nyall and I took the kids to Capitol Reef over Memorial Day weekend. We loved hiking and seeing the beautiful sites with the kids! Nyall was at Bryce Canyon last week too- hiking and mountain-biking with the YM from our ward. So funny!
